Weidmüller has been supporting the UPBracing Team with professional tools for over ten years.

The UPBracing Team is a student initiative of the University of Paderborn. Weidmüller has equipped the students with a new Weidmüller tool box to ensure the entire team can give their all beside the track as well. Weidmüller has now been supporting the volunteer team with professional equipment for more than a decade. Three Weidmüller employees from the Product Management Workplace Solutions deliver the new inventory gladly.

The students take part in international Formula Student events with the race car. In the university Formula 1 races, a perfect, fast pit stop can win the title. Because of this, Weidmüller replaced and exchanged all of the equipment from 2010. New cutting tools, voltage testers, crimping tools for wire end ferrules, insulated connectors and turned contacts now help the team achieve the goals they have set for themselves.

As part of the tool sponsorship, the Weidmüller employees admired the two race cars, which the UPBracing Team constructs each year through interdisciplinary collaboration. As of this year, electromobility (electric vehicles) and autonomous (driverless) cars are the focus.
