Weidmüller Klippon® Connect terminal blocks with PUSH IN-Power connection: Extension of the A-Series terminal block portfolio with the new A2C 50/70 and A2C 95/120 high-current terminal blocks for wire cross-sections up to 70 mm², and 120 mm² respectively – connection of solid/stranded and stranded wire conductors – standardised test points with 2.0 mm² diameter – individual terminal block systems and prefabricated blocks available for various mounting options.
Space and time are at a premium in panel building. Klippon® Connect high-current terminal blocks from Weidmüller help to save both and at the same time ensure the safe and efficient distribution of electrical power to the consumers. The Klippon® Connect product family has been extended to include the new A2C 50/70 and A2C 95/120 high-current terminal blocks. They allow the connection of solid and stranded conductors up to a rated cross-section of 70 mm² or 120 mm². Further characteristics are a rated voltage of 1000 V AC/1500 V DC and a rated current of 150 A (A2C 50/70) or 232 A (A2C 95/120).
Like the variation for smaller cross-sections, the new terminal blocks are also equipped with the PUSH IN-Power connection with operating lever. This enables wire connection in seconds – simply insert the conductor into the open contact point, actuate the lever and a long-term stable, gas-tight and vibration-proof connection is established. When the lever is closed, the conductor can be inserted directly into the conncetion point without any tools.
The connection guarantees a high degree of flexibility during wiring while maintaining process reliability. This saves a lot of time, especially during wiring work in the plant field, which often takes place under adverse conditions.
The potential distribution is just as simple as the connection. The cross-connections are simply placed in the open contact point and the lever confirmed. This establishes a secure contact, both with and without an additionally connected conductor. The cross-connections are designed in such a way that they are immediately recognisable even when conductors are connected. The orange collar protrudes unmistakably from the contact point without interfering with the wiring work.
A uniform auxiliary connection for the cross-section sizes from 50 mm² to 185 mm² enables a separate voltage point. This can be used, for example, for the emergency power supply before the main switch, as a signal point or for looping in a surge protector. Other applications include providing a service socket or control cabinet lighting. The auxiliary connection is equipped with a lever mechanism. This allows the tool-free wiring of stranded wires as well. Another practical feature are the standardised test points with 2.0 mm diameter. Standardised accessories guarantee trouble-free work with all A-Series terminal block systems and provide a streamlined portfolio of accessories for quick and easy testing.
For a better overview, especially with a wide range of installation options, large-area marker tags are available to identify the voltage applied. The fixing of the lightning markers in the connection areas from 35 mm² to 185 mm² additionally prevents wiring in the live state. This ensures increased safety for man and machine.
The range of individual terminal block systems, prefabricated blocks and various mounting options leaves nothing to be desired: Customers can choose from three-, four- and five-pole block variations, i.e. L1, L2, L3 or L1, L2, L3 and N as well as L1, L2, L3, N and PE. Prefabricated supply blocks reduce the number of variations and storage costs. They are also quick and easy to install, either snapped onto TS 35 terminal rail or screwed onto a mounting plate via an integrated foot bracket.
Last but not least: Klippon® Connect high-current terminal blocks support the entire panel building process with their convincing concept. Whether it's simple handling when connecting the conductors, more space in the control cabinet or time savings during installation: Klippon® Connect makes a significant contribution towards increasing productivity, efficiency and safety.
