This year, four of Weidmüller's products have been nominated for the Engineers' Choice Awards, including u-remote, the remote I/O system that has already received multiple awards for its design and handling.
But what's special in this particular case is that in the Engineers' Choice Awards, the nominations and winners aren't chosen by a jury, but by the readers of trade magazine “Control Engineering”. In an online survey, interested specialists rated all of the submitted products based on technological advancement, user benefits and market impact.
A total of 106 control, instrumentation and automation products had been nominated for the 2014 Engineers' Choice Awards in 23 categories by December 2013. The products that receive the most votes per category win the coveted readers' prize.
Nomination already a tremendous successWeidmüller is proud to have once again been nominated with four products in three categories, including the “u-remote” remote I/O system, which was launched in 2013 and has been nominated in the “Network Integration – I/O systems” category.
“The nomination alone is a tremendous success for us. As u-remote boasts a wealth of intelligent electrotechnical functional solutions and a unique handling concept, we are naturally hoping to win the award too,” explains Axel Brinkmann, Market Communication Manager for Electronic Interface Technology.
The 23 winners will be announced in February. Until then, keep your fingers crossed!
