At the Offshore Europe exhibition, which is being held in Aberdeen from 3rd-6th September 2019, connectivity & automation expert Weidmüller is showcasing, on Stand 3B10, a wide range of standards-compliant products and solutions that have been specifically developed for process industry applications, including those in hazardous areas.
These include analogue signal conditioners, safety relays, power supplies, surge protection devices as well as hardware and software-based solutions that facilitate remote maintenance and implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT). Also in the spotlight on the Weidmüller stand are certified enclosures for use in hazardous areas, and a comprehensive suite of products that simplify the design, assembly and wiring of control panels.
Of particular interest among the process industry solutions are the PROtop communication-capable power supplies, which can be embedded within condition monitoring systems as an aid to comprehensive process optimisation. These are complemented by the SAFESERIES safety relays which are certified for SIL3 applications, SIL2 analogue signal conditioners that provide galvanic isolation and are available for use in Ex zones 0, 1 and 2, and surge protection devices that are also approved for use in hazardous zones.
Visitors to the Weidmüller stand with an interest in software solutions will have the opportunity to discover u-create IoT which enables information from remote I/O modules to be pre-processed and transferred to the cloud, and the u-link remote maintenance package that provides secure access to machines and systems from any location where an Internet connection is available.
Among the Weidmüller hazardous area enclosures featured at Offshore Europe are KTBMH stainless steel 316L grade products that can be manufactured to meet specific customer requirements. Other products include STB multi-purpose stainless steel 316L grade enclosures that are ideal for protecting small components like terminals or pushbuttons and POK glass-reinforced polyester boxes for use where corrosion and impact resistance must be combined with a high IP rating.
Well known for its innovative control panel products, Weidmüller is highlighting its uniquely versatile range of terminals for control voltage distribution and signal wiring. In addition to standard types, this range offers Ex-approved push-in and screw-clamp terminals. Also featured are maxGUARD combined load monitoring and power distribution products, and the Weidmüller Configurator that allows users to select and configure terminal rails, enclosures and accessories.
Throughout the Offshore Europe exhibition, experienced engineers from Weidmüller will be available on the stand to discuss and explain the company’s products and solutions, as well as to provide advice to visitors about how these can be used beneficially in their own specific applications.
